Blue and white chinoiserie and floral patterns aren't reserved for interior design anymore, designers are taking cue from lapis colored china and textiles, creating lust worthy fashions. Roberto Cavalli took on the trend for his Resort 2013 collection and now Valentino's Fall 2013 RTW collection showcases a host of cobalt and white looks, which featured intricate embroidery and/or exquisite fabrics. Technically the blue-and-white print fashions in this Valentino collection were inspired by Delft ceramics, but I'm going for a vibe here, and the vibe is Chinoiserie inspired;)
Cavalli and Valentino not in your budget? Luckily some more accessible brands have taken to fresh blue and white Chinoiserie inspired clothing as well. Have a look at a few of my favorites:
