Coachella Handbag Essentials

Music festival season is here! I leave Wednesday night to soak in the sun at Coachella and I couldn't be more ready for the vacation:) 

Music festival fashion has become a street style phenomenon, but what I always struggle with is what to pack to bring into the festival. Sunscreen, backup phone charger, spare contact lenses...I've learned by trial and error what you need to make it through a long day of music and sun and have put together a list of essentials to make your Coachella experience as worry free as possible. 

This Coachella, I plan on carrying a Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac bag. In addition to holding a surprising amount, it is light weight and the cross body strap makes it easy to carry. If you want a larger bag, check out the stylish backpack roundup I did a couple weeks ago. Now, what you need to bring to make it 8+ hours in 90 degree weather among thousands of other music lovers.

Music Festival Handbag Essentials:

- Cell Phone: I suggest changing the screen savor to say "If lost call (insert friend's  name and phone number)". 

- ID and cash

- Gum

- Granola bars: Technically not allowed but I always sneak in a power snack to keep low blood sugar at bay.

- Extra contact lenses: I speak from experience here...

- Sunscreen: KIEHL'S sunscreen is the absolute only one that doesn't break out my skin. It is worth every penny!
- Phone Charger: Stash a backup battery or if you don't mind the added bulk, the Mophie Juice Pack is awesome.
- Camera: For when iPhone pictures just won't cut it:)

- Lip Gloss: This Smashbox gloss is the perfect shade of bohemian peach.

- Hair Ties: I like these neon ones. A portable brush never hurts either. 

- Band-Aids: I guarantee at least one person in your crew will get a blister... Be their savior!
